These terms apply to your use of ww2.design and all of its subdomains, such as mitsubishi.ww2.design and norden.ww2.design (together, the "sites"), operated by WW2.design ("we", "us"). By using the sites, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the sites.

The sites

The sites present interactive 3D reconstructions of Second World War machines and instruments, with explanations and reference material, for education and general interest. We may change, add or remove exhibits and features at any time, and the sites may sometimes be unavailable.

Historical content

The sites depict military equipment, markings and insignia as they appeared during the Second World War. They are presented for historical and educational purposes and do not endorse any government, ideology or conflict.

Accuracy

The models are reconstructions. They are built from period manuals, drawings, photographs and surviving examples, and they separate documented facts from reconstruction where they can, but some details are inferred and may be incomplete or wrong. The sites are not engineering drawings, maintenance documentation or operating instructions, and must not be used as such. If you find an error, we would be glad to hear about it.

Your use of the sites

You may view and use the sites for personal, educational and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• copy, redistribute, sell or create derivative works from the models, code, text or images except as permitted by law or with our written permission;
• extract the 3D models, textures or data in bulk, or use automated tools to download or scrape the sites in a way that burdens them;
• interfere with the sites, their security or their measurement systems, or attempt to access anything that is not publicly available;
• use the sites to break any law or to infringe anyone else's rights.

Linking to the sites, and sharing screenshots or short excerpts with attribution to WW2.design, is welcome.

Intellectual property

The models, software, text, design and other original content of the sites belong to WW2.design and are protected by copyright and other laws. Historical documents, photographs and drawings shown on the sites belong to their respective owners or are in the public domain, and are used for reference and commentary. Names such as Mitsubishi and Norden are used only to identify historical equipment; the sites are not affiliated with or endorsed by any current company or trademark owner.

If you believe material on the sites infringes your rights, contact us with the details and we will review it promptly.

Third-party sites

The sites may link to archives, museums and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Disclaimers

The sites are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WW2.design will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the sites. Our total liability for any claim relating to the sites is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page, and your continued use of the sites after a change means you accept the updated terms.
